Working with design teams during the concept and detailed design stages to integrate passive and active security systems into prestigious projects in and around the City of London. This included the production of Security Needs Assessments, security concept and scheme design drawings, and advising clients on CPTED and the technicalities of meeting physical security product performance standards.

• Conducting technical evaluations of physical security products, systems and hardware to the requirements of industry-leading standards such as LPS 1175: Issue 7 (Loss Prevention Standard) and PAS 24: 2012.• Managing physical security attack test programmes aiming to obtain test data capable of supporting the future assessment and certification of physical security products, systems and hardware.• Delivering presentations to industry peers to communicate the importance of layered, risk-commensurate security measures, and considering physical security in conjunction with site design.

• Embedding creative design and specification-led security solutions in to new and refurbished building projects, in line with crime prevention models such as CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design).• Reducing future opportunities for crime in both new and existing developments, and increasing the quality of life for users of the built environment.• Identifying risks and advising on strategic procedures and design alterations/additions to improve levels of safety and security, for both assets and people, in readiness for a proposal's submission for planning approval.• Preparation of site/proposal-specific crime risk assessments for a wide range of existing and proposed developments, based on probable threats and contextual data.• Specialist knowledge of physical security standards (Loss Prevention, British, European) and their applications, and delivery of risk-commensurate specifications.• Communicating and demonstrating the feasibility of design modifications and enhancements to architects, to improve safety and security, in the form of 3D visualisations.
