I am a Product Manager and the head of Quality Assurance at Stability.ai, which is an incredible combination of the things I really enjoy! In this role, I am responsible for QA and ensuring the usability, overall quality, fraud mitigation, and safety/red-testing for our diverse range of models and services across various modalities. Our portfolio includes offerings such as text-to-image, text-to-text, text-to-audio, text-to-video, and other upcoming services. I joined the company during its early stages in the fall of 2022 and have been able to apply my extensive experience in IT to contribute to various aspects of the company's operations.A bit of history: In the early 2000s, I ventured into entrepreneurship by starting my own IT firm, with a primary focus on software design. This decision was due to the prevailing "zero-bench policy" in the IT industry at the time, which favored a fire-and-rehire approach over maintaining salaried positions during slow sales periods. Consequently, founding my own business seemed like the logical choice if I wanted a stable career. I successfully grew my firm to include ~15 employees and secured contracts with prominent clients such as Johnson Controls, AAA, UPS, Summerfest, and several other firms that served as our foundation. Years later, I made the decision to sell the company and shift my focus towards family, and personal interests such as photography and the field of 3D.My experience with the 3D industry dates back to 1991. The integration of my 3D skills with my photography has yielded remarkable results, proving instrumental in attracting clients seeking photorealistic rendering of products. I utilize tools such as Adobe Substance, Blender, Unreal, and ZBrush to create 3D product images, which have found application among numerous clients, including those with products sold by major retailers like Walmart, Target, and Petco.Photography has been a passion of mine, which I've had the privilege to expand it into another business. Most of my client work now centers around collaborating with women who are faced with the daunting diagnosis of breast cancer. We capture their indomitable spirit both before and after their encounter with this life-altering disease. I have won numerous international awards and even have a few book covers by prominent authors, including Nora Roberts.In addition to my computer based pursuits, I maintain a diverse range of tactile hobbies, including painting, sculpture, laser cutting, industrial design, the board game of Go (囲碁), and body painting.
