CurrentOversee global real estate strategy focused on on-site work while peeling away from MSOs into workspace that better reflects our culture, brand and needs; delivered options and value to our CEO, CTO, CFO and CPO on the following:- Realized $20M in savings on capex build out and lease costs with a major NYC strategy pivot in late 2023- Proactively identified Seattle space we could pivot to in case of WeWork closure which saved us $1.2M over 5 years in one of the best Seattle buildings in early 2024- Pivoted use case in Detroit to better capture the scrappy energy of our animation team and transfer back to our major Duolingo sites- Working on long term expansion strategy for Pittsburgh and Beijing expansionsOptimize current workplace operations to provide the highest impact services (food & beverage, security, events support, well-being, facilities maintenance) that aid in recruiting and retention efforts globally.Develop and implement a higher level of design that better reflects Duolingo company brand and mission within our offices while delivering on our desire to be considered a place where the top talent wants to work in person.Partnering with our Heads of Social Impact and DEIB to ensure we support their short- and long-term goals in our design and operations.Member of Senior Leadership team - providing cultural and business insights for Duolingo while pushing to develop long term location strategy for our business.Help support local chambers of commerce, state senators and city leadership to ensure investments are made in our East Liberty community.
