I am currently working as a programming supervisor in the SMT department at Sony UK Technology Centre having moved from a different role within the company in October 2021. Since joining the SMT programming team I have taken on numerous responsibilities, including generating parts placement programs for new models, updating current mass production programs with revision and parts changes, and liaising with the warehouse and planning teams to ensure production runs are planned and programmed correctly.Alongside my work at Sony UK, I am studying full time for a Bsc Hons Computer Science degree with the Open University. I am studying modules such as Object Orientated Java Programming, Web Technologies & Algorithms. I am hoping to complete a final year project focussing on machine learning,Outside work and education my interests include gaming, socialising with friends and software. I am currently teaching myself to use Python as well as a host of other software tools and have written numerous programs for use within my role at Sony to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up my time for other work. I am greatly interested in the computing and software world and hope to move into the software industry on graduating
