Philz Coffee is a high-growth coffee company with locations in five geographic markets. I was hired to manage a technical team and develop a new IT strategy and roadmaps to ensure scalability of the enterprise as Philz grew from 30 to 60 stores in two years. Projects included implementation of a Snowflake cloud-based data warehouse, Boomi and Stitch implementations to create platforms for SaaS integrations, new cloud-based ordering and inventory management systems, and development of a hybrid model to replace an ITSM function and reduce costs.

WineDirect is an industry leader in winery direct sales with a portfolio of products that includes the Vin65 e-commerce and POS platform, bi-coastal fulfillment services, and marketing tools to help wineries grow. I was promoted to VP of Technology responsible for all of the infrastructure and systems which run the fulfillment vertical, to include websites, APIs, ERP, WMS, telecommunications, networking, and back-office infrastructure. During my tenure, WineDirect grew to become the leading provider for fulfillment and logistic services in the wine industry, which was made possible through strategic M&A, geographic expansion, and organic growth.Projects included systems consolidation in Oracle EBS ERP, an Oracle Financials migration, a multi-warehouse WMS implementation on HighJump, and a self-service customer portal with real-time dashboards for inventory and order status. The company's primary site received 100K daily page views and its web services processed 1M+ requests daily across 100+ integrated systems.

I joined IBG upon their acquisition of New Vine and remained in my Director role for the first two years, with a focus on automation of fulfillment systems to optimize efficiency, internal tool development, and performance improvement to meet increased transaction volumes. I also contributed to evaluating assets for liquidation after the New Vine acquisition and transfer of the New Vine systems at the core of the deal.Project highlights included development of multiple applications: a Kewill TMS integration with national (UPS, FedEx) and regional carriers, a multi-threaded tracking system to retrieve carrier events and delivery data, real-time email notification systems, and a data model and supporting systems to support complex carrier networks for direct shipping and freight forwarding. Other projects included development of a customer portal, introduction of dashboards with real-time data for ordering/shipments, and fully automated order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows that streamlined internal efforts.

I was hired by New Vine to turnaround their IT organization and drive improvements to infrastructure and back-office systems, with a focus on uplift for product development capabilities and system scalability. In 2009, New Vine was acquired by IBG.Accomplishments at New Vine included modernization of infrastructure for both voice and data, implementation of a unified communications platform and Oracle 11i ERP, and design of a multi-server web farm that supported 4M page views and 1K web services transactions per hour
