Through the game of Basketball, we teach young physically challenged youth, ages 9 to 21, to become enabled, as much as physically possible. For the kids, we provide a fun structured, easy to learn atmosphere in a place where they will meet lifelong friends. For the parents, we do this by teaching them that through hard work, teamwork, networking, strong character and perseverance that almost anything is possible, even with their physically challenged children. With our coaching staff and Board of Directors we work as a team to prepare all the children in the club to play at the next level. For our prep kids, we will prepare them for the faster game at the varsity level, and for our varsity kids, prepare them for the college experience. Our expectation is that all the kids in this program attend college, the opportunities are in place, we will help guide them there. We support your child on and off the court, by mentoring them to work hard in school and at home, to work like a team on and off the court and ALWAYS be respectful to those around them. Our new coaches, Gerry Fleming, a 34 year veteran of the sport and coach of the Rolling Knicks and Lowes Moore, past-NBA player and executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Mount Vernon bring many years of high quality basketball and life experiences to our program.Last year all 3 of our graduating Seniors have gone to college and 2 of them are playing wheelchair basketball at the college level with scholarships. They are at the University of Alabama and University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, we are very proud of this accomplishment.
