Seelan Gobalsamy Email and Phone Number
Throughout my career spanning nearly three decades, I have had the privilege of holding senior leadership roles across emerging markets. A significant component of this time had been spent leading teams and organisations within the financial services sector navigating extreme change and volatility both locally and globally. This had afforded me the ability to lead large and complex organisations, assisting them to grow and deal with change that has become more rapid. My journey with Omnia Group began in 2018 when I joined as a non-executive Director. Subsequently, I was appointed Financial Director in March 2019 and Group CEO in September 2019. These transformative years allowed me to spearhead the company's turnaround strategy, amid the challenges of a global pandemic. I firmly believe that decisive leadership, underpinned by uncompromising values of always doing the right thing, is crucial, especially during change, volatile and unpredictable times. As a passionate leader, I see it as my duty to act as an economic pioneer, committed to forging a new path for businesses to not only survive but thrive. I have been deeply inspired by people of the organisation and all the stakeholders that have taken on the challenge of positioning the business that has been going for 70 years to continue on its noble path of making a profound impact in food security and livelihoods across the countries it operates in. Looking ahead, my focus remains on driving growth and enhancing Omnia Group's resilience by investing both globally and locally. We will also focus on improving our processes, products, services, and technology, while strengthening our supply and distribution network to maintain our agility. Furthermore, ESG will continue to be the cornerstone of our strategy and we are committed to reducing our environmental impact. To give effect to this commitment we have set ambitious sustainability goals, some of which have been achieved ahead of target. In addition to my role at Omnia Group, I also serve as a non-executive director of two industry organisations; Chemical and Allied Industries Association (CAIA) and the International Fertiliser Association (IFA) both of which enable us to connect with significant industry players and to be at the forefront of conversations that are shaping the future of these sectors. I also serve as a non- executive director for the Momentum Metropolitan Holding Group, contributing to further their mission, objectives and positive impacts.
