I have been teaching at Trillium School since September 1995 and have many years of experience teaching English at multiple grade levels. Over the years, I have taught English to Grade 11 and 12 in India, Grade 4, 6, 7 and 8 in Toronto. I have also had experience teaching a Split Grade. I have designed and continued to develop the curriculum at my school for both Grade 7 and 8 and have been the Head teacher for the Senior Division at my school for many years, mentoring newer colleagues and tweaking the Language curriculum when necessary to keep up to date with the times. I specialize in teaching technical as well as applied grammar and have been responsible for introducing Shakespeare into the Grade 7 and 8 curriculum. I pride myself on bringing a multi-cultural awareness to my classroom, by including a variety of international content, enhancing the academics with learning about and celebrating traditions from my own and my students' cultural backgrounds, and helping to foster an inclusive microcosm to prepare my students to become global citizens.
