Mike is currently Vice President, Sales at Compass Datacenters. In this role, Mike is responsible for working with hyperscale cloud and SaaS providers, along with large global enterprises, on scaling their infrastructure in Canada, the US and internationally. Mike was previously Vice President, Sales at ROOT Data Center, which was acquired by Compass Datacenters in July 2019.Prior to joining ROOT, Mike was VP of Global Business Development at Q9 – one of Canada’s largest data centre companies. Prior to Q9, Mike spent five years living and working in Europe. As Director of Business Development at the International Data Centre Group, Mike established partnerships with data centres across various emerging markets including countries within Asia, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe. Mike also worked closely with international companies requiring data centre services in these markets. Mike later became involved in IXcellerate, a start-up data centre company in Moscow where, as Commercial Director, he was responsible for all sales and marketing activities with a core focus on working with international customers looking for retail and wholesale data centre space in Russia.Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics.
