Global Language Experiences team, in the Experiences + Devices org.I 'founded', and helped lead the team (~4 PMs, 2 dev teams) building out Intelligent Translation experiences in Microsoft 365 over the past few years. We partnered with teams across M365 & Azure to deliver seamless, delightful, personalized user experiences, to help *break language barriers*, make collaboration more inclusive by default, and help users be more successful working in their preferred language(s).At the same time, we managed infrastructure scaling, delivery to special compliance clouds (e.g. M365 for Government), COGS mitigation, quality improvements, roadmap (priority) coordination with Azure AI, and provided consultation for other teams & customers in integrating AI capabilities into user experiences.We shipped several "hero" features, now used by 10s of millions of M365 users every day worldwide, across 70+ languages, and multiple platforms (Win, Mac, Web, iOS, Android):• Translator in Teams (chat & channel message translation)• Translator in Outlook (email & selection translation)• Translator in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (doc & selection translation)• Live Captions & Subtitles in PowerPoint (real-time automatic captions for audiences, either in the spoken or other preferred language)• Language-Aware Proofing in Teams (multi-language spellchecking)Previously, upon first joining Microsoft, I drove infrastructure & UX improvements to the Microsoft-wide localization service (~Technical PM role), to optimize cost and operational metrics, while also streamlining the onboarding of new products.

(Clustr was a small startup company, incubated as part of the NEXT Canada program, and is no longer in operation.)

Part of a devops team for Inventory services, within Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT). Developed, validated, and deployed improvements to distributed, high-tier microservices to improve data quality/synchronization for inventory management.

Contributed to novel research in the fields of data mining and knowledge discovery, with emphasis on the development of tools to improve data quality, via contextual rule discovery and repair models.In addition to the design, implementation, optimization, and verification of these data management algorithms (packaged as a library), the project also entailed development of a web application enabling real users to analyze specific datasets, see discovered rules, and choose among a set of data cleaning suggestions (data corrections) facilitated by assistant-oriented UX and interactive visualizations representing possible corrections to the dataset.Used C/C++ (including Boost C++ Libraries), Perl and DBSCAN to develop the data management libraries; used HTML/CSS/JavaScript (notably, d3.js and jQuery), Python (MVC framework via web2py), SQL to develop the web application.
