Project: Laboratory investigations of Lunar ice imaging in permanently shadowed regions using reflected starlightInstalled a PID microcontroller to control liquid nitrogen flow to a cryogenic vacuum chamber (CVAC). Set up a local wired network to interface with this controller via a web browser. Designed a holder in Siemens NX to place four samples in the CVAC at the focus of a UV camera. Operated CVAC, prepared samples, and acquired UV images with postdoctoral fellow

Research position funded by NSERC's Undergraduate Student Research AwardProject: Towards a speed-of-sound based methane sensor for Titan exploration Investigated the feasibility of using an ultrasonic anemometer to map methane concentrations on Titan's surface. Modelled the speed of sound's sensitivity to hydrocarbon vapors in Titan's troposphere with MATLAB and tested a lightweight ultrasonic anemometer with water vapor to determine if Earth's hydrological cycle was an appropriate analog to Titan's carbon cycles.
