I am a food safety and quality specialist with a passion for ensuring the quality and safety of food products from farm to fork. I have a HACCP certification and a postgraduate diploma in Food Safety and Quality Assurance from Conestoga College, where I learned about the principles and practices of food safety management systems, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.I have also completed a BSc (Honors) in Food Science and Technology from Lovely Professional University, where I gained a solid foundation in food chemistry, microbiology, processing, and engineering. I have applied my knowledge and skills in various food industries, such as Nestle, Kaympee, and Verka, where I interned as a quality control and assurance trainee. I performed quality testing, analysis, and control for different types of food products, using various tools and software, such as Milk Oscan, Microsoft Office, and Excel. I also participated in sensory evaluation panels, calibration of weighing scales, and sampling procedures. I demonstrated my ability to work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.I took another postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management at York University, where I explored how food safety and quality professionals can effectively manage people and organizations in the food sector, and how they can enhance their communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. I am also keen to learn from diverse and experienced faculty and peers, and to expand my network and opportunities in the food industry.
