In the Safe Climate team, I prepared research on the legislative and regulatory frameworks for offshore petroleum and carbon capture and storage, both in Australia and internationally.

I prepared research on topical economic policy issues, assisted with writing speeches and briefing materials, and staffed meetings with high-profile stakeholders.

In my research paper, Housing Supply and Higher Density in Australia’s Cities, I analysed macroeconomic data in Australia and New Zealand, reviewed econometric and urban economics studies, and spoke with notable Australian economists. The paper has been circulated in Commonwealth Parliament and will influence policy.

I contributed to economics research projects covering Generative AI, business investment in training, the skills landscape in Australia, housing policy, and Lenders Mortgage Insurance. My work features in an annual Deloitte report series. During my internship, I attained proficiency in R Programming at an intermediate level and Excel at an advanced level, undertaking survey analysis. I engaged with a variety of clients, and worked with Partners and Directors at Deloitte.

I chaired Diversity in the Law, a panel event for which I invited diverse legal professionals across Canberra to share their experiences with students.I created the Autonomous Lunch Series between the ANU LSS, Canberra LSS and Lawyers for Diversity, consisting of autonomous networking lunches connecting minority law students with legal professionals of their same background: culturally-diverse, LGBTQIA+, international, and disability. I designed our society’s first equity ticketing policy to help more students facing financial hardship attend our events.I organised Mental Health First Aid Training provided by Leo Cussen Centre for Law, rewarding students with an internationally-recognised certification and the skills to manage mental health in their personal and professional lives.

I was responsible for running the Novice and Senior Witness Examination competitions. I liaised with sponsor Hugo Law Group to promote the competition, provide judges, and host the finals at their office.

I provided legal advice to partner companies, including Hollard’s review of over 400 marketing assets for the insurance rebrand of a major Australian supermarket chain to ensure compliance with legislation and ASIC regulatory guides.Within Hollard’s breach reporting process, I managed incidents in Hollard’s risk management software. I conducted legal research to create guides for stakeholders on financial services provisions within the Corporations Act, ASIC Act and General Insurance Code of Practice.Under the guidance of the Lead Compliance Principal for Strategy, I helped create a change management process adopted by Group Compliance. I reviewed internal policy documents on sanctions laws, data retention and disposal, and a business case for an AI marketing compliance platform.I conducted desktop research and surveyed employees to create a Communication Etiquette PowerPoint and presented it to Group Compliance. It was then added to the Group Compliance induction pack for new employees.

In Semester 1, I worked with Hands Across Canberra, the National Capital's leading community foundation, on designing a participatory grant allocation model that empowers vulnerable young people.In Semester 2, I worked with Worldview Foundation, which supports Indigenous people facing disadvantage, on marketing itself to a broader audience in order to increase funding in a post-COVID world.

I advised customers using my strong product knowledge and warm communication style. I managed store inventory and a sales operating system.
