I have over 15 years’ experience in the development sector and now in my 10th year in private sector and economic development programmes offering direct technical support for capacity building the private sector to effectively participate in economic policy reform, business advocacy, Public Private Dialogue (PPD) and develop services for enterprise and sector development. In the past 9 years I have actively engaged with the political economy, actors, mechanisms and platforms for public private dialogue in Zimbabwe. I have a deep understanding of the institutional ecosystem of economic interest groups that participate in PPD and have provided institutional capacity building for some of them. I supported the Association of SADC Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the process of organising and formalising their participation in the Tripartite Free Trade Area Negotiations. I have accumulated methodology, approaches and techniques that are effective for needs assessment/review of Business Member Organisations (BMOs) and designing appropriate capacity building strategies for them in the context of providing relevant services to members and effective participation in Sector Development, Business Environment Reform and public private dialogue.
