We ended up serving multinationals like AB InBev across some of their African markets in the Entrepreneurship Development programs as well as companies like Standard Bank, SEDA, IDC, GEP, Philips SA, UNISA and many others. We’ve disbursed over R100million in 3rd party payments for SMME’s as well run multiple development programs.2) The People’s Fund - we started TPF to serve the needs of majority black-owned businesses in South Africa that lacked access to capital due to stringent requirements. We’ve done just over R300 million in revenue and funded just over 1000 entrepreneurs to date. Multiple equity funding rounds have been done with strong governance structures.3) The People’s Stokvel Cooperative Financial Institution - we started TPS CFI to enable black-owned SMME’s to own their own funding vehicle, we’re building a bank using cooperative principles. We have over a 1000 paying members contributing #iklipajoe (R100 p/m) to fund purchase orders that come out of TPF. The returns have been great so far with zero losses and strong governance through our leadership structures.4) The Biz Plug - started as a side hustle for speaking gigs, ended up as a full service SMME Development agency serving rural & township based entrepreneurs to access markets through our training & development interventions. We also have awesome networking sessions and organize group travel across African markets to leverage the free Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA). Eradicating poverty, inequality and unemployment is our main obsession, we believe entrepreneurship has the potential to make a huge difference in that mission.
