About Selena Long
Hello. I'm Selena. My mother told me she named me that because during her career as an English teacher, she fell in love with the Greek meaning of the name basically translated as Goddess of the Moon. Fortuity was on my side from the beginning. Being the 2nd eldest of 5 children, I learned early that being born into the Long family meant an automatic enlistment into the temp pool as a resource to fill any need-based or undesirable open position within my parent's various businesses. We still laugh about it at family gatherings because we were expected to assume the job role, assess the departmental needs, understand operations- systems, scheduling, inventory, payroll- and manage from an ownership perspective. Not an easy task before Google. Recently, I've learned to appreciate the value of being capable in any situation and making it happen beautifully. As a result, my parents raised 5 very educated, intuitive and emotionally intelligent business leaders and I'm proud to be one of them. I call myself a Progress Architect. That title is reflective of my ability to architect and direct a pathway to progress and success. My experiences range from million dollar projects to the genesis of a great idea and a vast range of situations in-between. The work is always exciting because my passion is to inform, achieve and astound. Life is too short for anything less than your best.
