The event provided education on the subject, provided insights and stories by students of color at the university along with experiences from the outside, bringing students closer together through working for a better understanding of each other’s experiences in life.

• Created optimal awareness and success of the event "Book Swap Action" by discussing and planning best possible plan of action with 50+ volunteers.• Managed 50+ volunteers for the event preparation and execution. Generated awareness of the event by spreading the word of it in perso and increasing personal investment by organizing a contest based on how many books were brought. • Coordinated the event itself by ensuring everything was in order and ran smoothly. The Book Swap Action was a school-wide event that allowed students to give books they enjoyed but no longer read to the school, and take the same number of books that were brought by other students home. This creates opportunity for more people to get a hold of more books, allowing literature to be shared and enjoyed by as many people as possible regardless of financial worries as a cultural service.

Observed group therapy sessions, received information from the professionals working in the practice on the processes of child therapy, and provided outside opinions on cases when consulted in Çiftehavuzlar Children’s Psychological Support Centre. This is a place that specializes in helping children who may have psychological problems or are showing uncontrolled problematic behavior. Children are put in a safe environment in which they can express their feelings and problems, allowing experienced professionals to understand the root of these children’s problems and subsequently provide support to both the children and their parents in order to work on solving those problems.
