I am the founder and CEO of Selfpsi, a company that is aimed at improving mental health and quality of life of Brazilians who live abroad. Over the years, we have cared for houndreds of people through our individual and group therapy sessions, and reached out to thousands of Brazilian immigrants through our content aimed at developing their self-esteem, self-awareness, at adapting to new environments, building social capacities and dealing with mental health issues.Through newsletter, blog, video and podcast, as well as through Instagram and Facebook platforms, we have maintained a close relationship with Brazilian immigrants and their daily challenges, offering mental health care and support throughout their journey.This is a dream come true to me, since I have started this company as a result of experiencing first hand the difficulties posed by a life so far away from the place I had always felt like home. Obviously the concept of the word 'home' gained new contours, as I expanded my horizons, but I can relate to the hardship experienced by those who decided to get out of their comfort zones and build a live from scratch with little or no social network for support .
