We covered topics from electricity to simple aerodynamics. This project really made a difference and will really help change the direction of their lives. We received a grant which made this all possible remain to be the leader of the organization where I engage in weekly meetings with my team.

During my internship at Kouros Maritime in Athens, Greece from June to August 2024, I gained valuable experience in the shipping industry. Working alongside a dedicated team, I contributed to vessel management and fleet expansion initiatives. I had the opportunity to observe large-scale operations, including the unloading of 50,000 tons of rice in Dakar, and participated in charter negotiations aimed at maximizing vessel hire rates. A highlight of my internship was witnessing the sale process of a 30,000 Dwt vessel, where I attended key meetings and reviewed critical documentation. This experience was enriched by analyzing market trends and studying financial reports, which provided crucial insights into the decision-making process for vessel transactions. Through these activities, I developed a comprehensive understanding of how market dynamics and financial considerations drive strategic decisions in the maritime sector.

I was granted the opportunity to take on an internship at PGESCo, Africa’s leading power generation company. During the internship, I learned about and worked on planning the different ways power can be generated and electricity can be provided from different power sources and how energy is to feed the grid. I worked on the implementation of smart grid systems in Egypt, and how Egypt is looking to store renewable energy through electric vehicles as batteries as a reliable source of green-energy. I worked with the team that is set to build Egypt's first nuclear power station, and I made a visit to the site where several pieces were installed. I drafted tenders, where I sat for late nights researching and calling different companies such as Schneider and Siemens.
