Responsible for writing Ohio Administrative Code rules under the authority of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to license and regulate health care facilities and services in Ohio. Coordinate stakeholder involvement in the formulation of rules, policies, and procedures relating to ODH programs, prepare fiscal analyses/adverse impact reviews for rules, and ensure the successful movement of the rules through required legislative reviews. Independently monitor, review, and analyze current/proposed state and federal legislation to determine its impact on Department of Health programs and personnel. Develop appropriate research tools, design, and implement research projects. Prepare and maintain necessary reports, records, and technical evaluations relative to research projects. Serves as a rules based subject matter expert and technical adviser for non-long term care health programs, reply to requests for information, represent the agency in meetings with government /industry representatives, and testifying at hearings. Provide technical expertise to programs for process documentation and development of operations manuals, job aids, policies, and directives. Provided veterans’ employment and training services, job development, marketing, and network building with partner agencies, employers, and elected officials. Through an aggressive public relations program I successfully developed a supportive network between local, state, and federal resources with area businesses, apprenticeship councils, and training/academic institutions to secure training and employment opportunities for local area veterans.
