𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:• Provide strategic leadership for the CYPC team.• Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the CYPC department staff, facility, librarians, services, and collections.• Coordinate daily programming initiatives, including the research, planning and conducting of community development initiatives and outreach. Liaise with the Programming, Training, and Development Team to develop, organize, and lead programs responsive to community needs.• Liaise with local schools, community, and professional agencies to develop community-led strategies and initiatives to service the Mississauga community properly.• Coordinate the training and development of staff.

𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:• Revitalized adult community-led programming initiatives to deliver more online development programs for patrons to pursue their health, career, and personal interests to further their skills during the COVID-19 pandemic. • Expanded community-led strategies for Milton Public Library (MPL) to create services and programs that assist at-risk in Halton. New partnerships and stakeholders included youth shelters, local correctional facility, women’s shelters, senior’s centres, newcomer organizations, and neurodiverse networks; service development included public access settings to literacy-based programs and networks to further employment and educational skills. • Worked with Halton’s Indigenous community partners to budget and plan the creation of new Indigenous-centred community services with the objective and successful outcome of creating more inclusive community services and programs with respect to TRC and continuously engaging with the Indigenous community.

𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:• Proactively improved community outreach initiatives for Burlington Public Library, resulting in new partnerships with local committees and agencies throughout southern Ontario to further expand library partnerships and services for patrons. • Initiated and led the preservation and digitization projects of the special collections and archives and implemented a new digital database and delivered the training for staff and customers, resulting in proper resources being added to the Special Collections and proper access to the database.𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:• Supervised the planning, implementation, budgeting and evaluation of programs related to adult and teen patrons. Identify and coordinate community outreach and engagement opportunities by collaborating with community partners, organizations and agencies to meet diverse community needs. Plan and deliver instructional skill development programs to ready customers to pursue their professional and personal interests.• Deliver in-depth reference and reader’s advisory of library resources and services to customers of all ages and backgrounds, including instruction and assistance of new technologies or digital literacy skills.

𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:• Liaison with law faculty and research to prepare new Library Guides on government-legal research topics, revising existing guides for students and professionals and creating new guides on current legislation and legal topics resulting in the creation of 2018- 2020 Law Faculty's Library Guides.• Ingest law review articles and other academic writing by Faculty of Law professors into the open access database Scholarship@Western, researching into copyright concerns and creating accompanying metadata.𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞:• Analyze the Law Library’s holdings of Parliamentary papers (House of Commons and Senate, debates and journals, committee minutes and evidence) in comparison to holdings at D.B. Weldon Library and online offerings.• Provide high quality research and reference services about library materials, library collections and services. Support the research and teaching aims of the students and University staff by helping with information sources.
