I planned and executed 3-4 hour photoshoots for teams of 40+, helped with logistics of location, theme, and posing, and edited photos in Lightroom and Photoshop.

I helped plan the details of photoshoots and took photos of dance teams (both group and individual portraits), events, and the end of the quarter dance showcase.

I was responsible for planning and photographing headshots for the entire organization staff. This included location scouting, coordinating schedules, and working in a timely manner to take, edit, and deliver photos that were used in marketing, design, and print. I was also responsible for photographing our fundraising events, to document the support we received from fellow students and faculty and the activities we did. While the physical aspect of this experience was cut short due to Covid, we persevered in an online format, pivoting from our typical end of year on-stage, in-person theater event to a photo-video documentary showcasing how Covid had affected Korean/Korean-American businesses.

I photographed several student fashion projects, fashion and styling trends for the weekly newsletter, and the end of the year runway show. I helped create and execute editorial photoshoots, pitching concept ideas, finding the space and props to shoot, and directing models to bring the vision to life. I communicated with members within my own photography team, as well as with members on other teams, like marketing and modeling.

BruinLife is UCLA's official campus yearbook. I was sent on photojournalist assignments to capture campus events, taking both candid moments and portraits of students and faculty. I learned how to use photo sorting and photo editing software, like Photo Mechanic and Adobe Lightroom. I attended training sessions taught by Todd Bigelow that ranged from basic techniques, like how to properly light subjects, to advanced story telling, like capturing the story and composing a shot that evokes emotion. I pitched assignments for myself and others to take on, as well as oversaw projects within and across quarters.

I was involved in Parallax 3D, a project where a group of 8 UCLA students constructed a device that would allow us to simultaneously take photos from 4 different cameras pointing at the same subject and then created a computer code automatically stitched these 4 photos into a GIF.
