I graduated with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 2005. While going to school I worked in an asbestos lab as both a secretary and asbestos analyst. Here I worked with a chain of custody accepting samples and prepping them for analysis. I analyzed samples using both polarized and stereo scopes. I also discussed the results with customers and answered questions their questions about the results. After receiving my degree I took a metallurgist position at the local power plant performing failure analysis mostly on the boiler tubes. I prepped the samples for testing. I used a microscope, and other testing machines to analyze and wrote reports about my findings. I also was in charge of ordering material and supplies needed to out run the lab. As well as setting up a login system for samples. After working there for a few years I relocate to a new area due to my husband taking on a new position. I next worked at Horizon Labs analyzing stream water from around local mines. I worked there for a few years. I logged in samples, and performed several different types of tests. And put together reports for the client. Next I took a remote part time position working for a general construction contractor, ASB Construction, as a secretary. I started working with him in 2008 and am still currently employed with ASB Construction. The position has grown from secretary/bookkeeper to running payroll to more of executive roles including office manager, executive secretary and controller where I discuss with the owner future projects for the company to take on and financial decisions about the company. The company does both residential and commercial projects so I am familiar with filling out pay apps and getting bids together for commercial projects, and working with Banks to submit draw request and change orders.I also teach part time violin lessons and I’ve done so for 20 years. I am on our local Farmers Market board as treasurer for the last few years. And I’ve also held other community leadership positions working with children and youth for the last 20 years. For the next few years I am looking for another part-time remote job to help supplement my hours with my current employment. If I need to work a few hours out of the home I can. And I would like to eventually get back into engineering. I would even be willing to take a part-time internship doing engineering to get there. However I have enjoyed working as an executive secretary/controller And could continue to do so as well.I am knowledgeable with:PhotoshopQuickBooksExcelWordGoogle
