Co-Founded and then led finance and corporate development operations for a cutting-edge Internet security software technology firm that provided access management and authentication systems that enabled companies to cost effectively provide secure access to sensitive online information and applications. The company primarily served the financial services and healthcare industries, and it was backed by SI Ventures (Gardner Group) and FLV Ventures (Belgian-based language technology and artificial intelligence investment group) .

Launched a company that developed cutting-edge, data-driven web portals and underlying infrastructure for businesses. Developed data-intensive web products and projects that, in partnership with IBM, were spun into new ventures, including Authentor and M2M Data Corporation. Led a merger between Peak Network Communications and T-NETIX (NASDAQ: TNTX) subsidiary SpeakEZ, which provides patented voice verification technology.

Co-founded a business intelligence portal, one of the 50 largest sites on the Internet at the time. The portal served the energy/utility industries, and the company’s ecommerce, data processing, and analytics technology enabled businesses to compete more effectively in a post-deregulated utility environment.

Led global finance and development activities for Independent Energy Partners with co-investors Westar Capital and Tricor Partners. Built dozens of companies in the independent power production, renewable energy and cleantech industries. Sourced and closed successful deals, including target selection and analysis, deal structuring, legal negotiations, acquisition, value added operational and financial strategies, and successful exits.
