Component Selection, Alternate Analysis, BOM Risk assessment, Change Management - ECO & MCO, Electronic Components validation, Other PLM for various Customers of Flex AMER Sites.

• Support design engineering in identification of Alternate components using FFF – Obsolescence, Non-RoHS, Cost reduction & EOL parts• Review, analyze and optimize Bills of Materials (BOM’s) down to manufacturer part level• Ensure components are compliant to necessary environmental and safety standards, e.g. RoHS, REACH, UL, CE, GREEN, Halogen and LEAD-FREE, WEEE standards• Maintain Approved Vendor List (AVL). Issue Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs) and Deviations.• Track component lifecycles. Perform Obsolescence health review, proactively identify and drive solutions to resolve EOL(LTB, LTS, Y-to-EOL), obsolete situations and minimize impacts.• Review the PCN and PDN notifications received from the manufacturers• Familiar with Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), Box Build Assembly practices, Part numbering nomenclature and BOM structuring.• Providing manufacturing site with requested component attributes as required.• Assign commodity codes used for commodity management• Organize the weekly site calls and review with customer to clarify on new projects, their requirements and queries• Demonstrated ability to gather component key parameters information from manufacturer websites/ datasheets.• Preparing necessary reports - Internal Kaizen workshop presentations, weekly status dashboards. Process metrics - Weekly report, monthly report, Quarterly business review(QBR) and metrics - using SharePoint• Preparing & Maintaining all sorts of documents (SOP, SOW, 8D Analysis, PDCA, RISK BASED ANALYSIS, FMEA, CONTROL PLAN, QUALITY CHECKLIST, Etc.,) related to Process.• Knowledge on VSM, Built-in quality, RPS (Fishbone analysis, RCA, 5 WHY RASCII, PDCA, 80-20 principle)• Preparing and Representing Team for Internal, Global & External Audits like ISO (IATF – International Automotive Task Force)
