My resilient, hands-on entrepreneurial approach has been maximized at the senior financial and credit risk management level, whereby I have employed analytical problem-solving, out-of-box thinking, and influencing skills at all levels.During my career, I have developed and implemented digital solutions for lending products, with a sound understanding of regulatory compliance, underpinned by the ability to structure credit facilities and implement comprehensive policies. I capture data & insights to drive product strategy, building knowledge of rules and processes associated with a portfolio of offerings, involving the use of AI, ML, and RPA processes. I have a flexible and adaptable leadership approach to taking on interim senior roles, including COO and CDO (Chief Digital Officer) while operating as an integral part of investment and credit committees. In this capacity, I have spearheaded programmes of continuous improvement using Kaizen techniques to identify pain points and adopt technology to resolve issues or implement new processes.Operating alongside development teams, I have created financial products and mapped process flow for digital client onboarding acting as a fintech specialist, with associated procedures devised for deal assessment, lending, and vetting. I formulated lending evaluation solutions for a major development fund using business financial analysis expertise, which touched on due diligence, risk assessment, vetting, and deal approval.On an international scale, I have served in a relationship management capacity in South Africa and Dubai to engage with high-net-worth (HNW) clients, as well as launch two fintech start-ups, with set-up and management of back-office operations.In academia, I am currently pursuing an MBA in advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and the future of automation, with post-graduate diplomas and education covering credit, purchasing, supply management, data science, business analytics, R Studio, Azure Studio, data analytics, leadership and organizational development, amongst other topics.
