TOGAF 9 certified.I have owned and ran a consultancy and IT training firm for the last 22 years. We have numerous clients and partners located around the world.Our company is involved in TOGAF, UML, Java (all forms), C++, CORBA (a speciality), Distributed Systems and, other technical training. As well as training and consultancy we specialise in the development of IT systems from start to finish with us acting as technical, systems and enterprise architects. We are flexible and believe in adapting our approach to align with the client’s approach. Specialties: Enterprise Architecture, TOGAF training, UML, Java, C++, .NET and Design, training and mentoring. We have recently added to our portfolio architecture and distributed systems bootcamp training. I am hired because of my ability to articulate complex conceptual ideas. Group sizes are irrelevant, I have spoken before groups ranging from 3 to over a thousand. I'm strong advocate for IT systems that have a solid architecture, are well design and continually tested during their development.I have been the technology lead for both Deutsche and Barclays Banks graduate training programmes for the past 3 and 2 years respectively.

Graduate Training Programme LecturerMorgan Stanley Investment Management Aug 2007 - Oct 2007Worked as part of a team of 8+ Mentors, in the Morgan Stanley Graduate training Program. The program was conducted in New York and London over a 54 day period. It involved training in Java/J2EE, C++, C#/.NET, UNIX, Windows, XML, Web based technologies, UML and IT Architectures. Once the training completed, the role changed to Project management of 6 teams over a 6 week period. Each project was sanctioned by the business as something that was required by the business. -
Technical Corba ArchitectNats Apr 2007 - Sep 2007Contracted by NATS to evaluate a proposed architecture from Indra (Spanish ATC supplier). The role involved mentoring NATS UK on CORBA, attending meetings in UK and Spain, assessing CORBA, FDP (Flight Distribution Processing) and J2EE like technologies. Producing reports on the viability of such technologies in the long run for UK FDP, proposing alternative architectures, and determining the safety and integrity of each architectural proposal.Contracted to assess the UK’s option of using an foreign organisation to design and build the UKs ATC FDP architecture. The output from this activity was a report that detailed the business goals and drivers, NATs principles, data and process needs and a clear understanding of the technologies that would be employed by the foreign contractor in the implementation of this system. The resultant report detailed an number of architectural options, their pros and cons and why the contractor had selected the particular architecture that was dependant upon CORBA DDS. -
