Selwyn is an accomplished and influential professional experienced in sales & business development. His current mandate is to assist in the development and success of the BEACON Biorefinery project and promote Welsh scientific expertise and industry excellence at a global level.In the last three years his focus and main interest has been in the renewable energy and waste water treatment markets. His work for a leading Scandinavian Business School, involved company specific sustainability projects and EU funded renewable energy projects with focus on the developing MENA region. Previously Selwyn managed and co-ordinated business support services for start-up technology companies at Europe’s leading Opto-electronics Incubation Center in North Wales. He has also worked in an advisory capacity for start-up and SME companies in local government.Selwyn is a pro-active and visionary entrepreneur with the capacity to build strong relations with both customers and strategic partners. He adopts a consultative approach to understanding client needs and implementing creative solutions and is a team player. Selwyn has travelled extensively to many parts of the globe. He maintains an avid interest in foreign countries and cultures and is eager to develop international business and relations.In early 2010, Selwyn founded Trade Cleantech - a consultancy with the aim of assisting companies to identify strategic technology partners in the environmental and renewables sectors: technologies such as waste to energy (gasification, pyrolysis, anaerobic digestion) and waste water treatment (amongst others).Specialties: International business development, market research, sales & marketing, environmental/renewables technologies and markets.
