In 2001, Marian Semic, Glen Morris and Jake Kimbrell founded the "The People's Gallery" on the premise of providing a forum for artists to show their work. No hanging fees, no commission taken, absolutely free. I established the gallery as a 501.
I left this company when I was informed that I was denied a position because I was female. (more than 90% of the people in the position I was applying for, in my region, were male.) The 2 women that held positions in the so cal district, did so because they had more tenure than the regional manager in question. He never hired a woman. One of his male.
