Hired under a grant with the Mississippi Department of Health and Human Services through Public Health Workforce - State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) where I helped educate and inform beneficiaries of their benefits with Medicare with an emphasis in their Preventive Health Services. Duties included coordinating events (health fairs, workshops, presentations). I used STARS (database where event information and outreach outcomes are submitted) to input the information of events. I also counseled and helped enroll Medicare Beneficiaries remotely or in person. Other duties included yearly, monthly, and event reporting of all events and impacts that were made. During the two years, I was able to serve 11 counties in the MS Delta and reached over 2,000 people in those counties to help them not only understand Medicare and its benefits but to help with health literacy overall. Outside of the grant, I was able to help JRM Consulting, LLC in numerous of ways as it pertains to company development. I have had a chance to help update the website (events/newsletter), employee manual, and conduct trainings/meetings (staff developments/tech trainings).

Primarily under the supervision of Dr. Nora Gough-Davis. Duties included data entry (inputting patient intake forms, consent forms, and other information into a protected datasheet), conducting employee audits each month to collect time spent on Tebra (productivity and performance), general quality assurance assessments (patient reports and reviews), and assisting with human resources (employee manual). Other duties included administrative tasks such as answering calls, setting up appointments, and shadowing/assisting staff.
