Maintenance Director
CurrentI check the maintenance log at least twice per shift to pick up assignments and requests. Repair and/or install various items, systems and/or components as may be required (e.g. broken windows, hand rails, lighting systems, HVAC units, electrical outlets, plumbing/sewer systems, etc.) to bring them up to safe working condition and/or proper appearance and operation.-Assist other grounds and maintenance personnel and contractors for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.-Perform touch-up painting and wall patching as needed. Repaint entire rooms or apartments as directed.-Repair or replace defective and damaged floor and ceiling surfaces/components as needed. Report serious causes such as leaks or foundation problems to supervisor.-Check water temperatures on variable schedule and log in designated record book. Report water temperature problems to supervisor and administrator and assist with corrective measures.-Install component parts to maintain office equipment in a safe operating condition.-Maintain tools and other maintenance equipment in organized, clean and safe operating condition.-Respond to and resolve emergency situations (e.g. flooding, shorting electrical lines), summoning 911 or other assistance as needed.-Perform grounds related functions as may be required for the purpose of preserving grounds in a healthy, attractive and safe condition.-Be available On-Call for emergency requests.
