Responsibilities include performing analysis and documentation of both legal and factual information for classification of products for either HTS or ECCN to ensure smooth clearance through customs. Providing participating government agency (PGA) regulatory information uponthorough review of commercial invoices, bills of material, and all client documentation; Reviewing client blue prints or engineering prints to obtain product specific information. Interacting with the client and/or broker to respond to inquiries and concerns. Tracking and tracing shipments for estimated time of arrival to satisfy client request. Partner with broker to facilitate next phase of shipment process. Keeping abreast of changes in customs legislation by reviewing internal and external resources and determine impact upon client (review new Rulings, Informed Compliance Publications from Customs). Process development/improvements – of processes as needed to meet client needs to allow for more effective and efficient solutions. Reviewing current process and make updates to existing work instructions or creating new ones for new processes; running and distributing daily report and Metrics.
