Uw Women'S Center, Making Connections Program

● Direct the UW Women’s Center’s Making Connections Program - a comprehensive college readiness program that serves marginalized populations in higher education and STEM fields. ● Manage budgets, including event expenditures, payroll, and operations budgets. ● Develop, implement, and assess annual goals and objectives pertaining to the Women's Center mission.● Secure funding for self-sustaining projects (through grants, endowments, and individual giving).● Create and implement new programs and program components based on the programmatic evaluation.● Identify and secure corporate and individual underwriters to sponsor fundraising events.● Manage, implement, and lead daily operations.● Review and improve office policies and procedures to ensure compliance with university requirements and grant stipulations, and to meet programmatic goals.● Plan, coordinate, and execute special events of different types, for small and large groups. ● Work across complex and diverse systems (university, k-12, and state, federal) while providing insightful solutions, and mindfulness to the operating procedures and requirements within each.● Work with human resources and other campus departments to identify, hire, coordinate, and supervise hourly graduate and undergraduate work-study student staff.● Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff (2 professional, one classified, 12-18 work-study) and a volunteer network of more than 150 individuals on an annual basis.● Develop and foster relationships with corporate STEM partners, campus departments, and community-based organizations.● Facilitate multiple diversity and equity workshops each year.● Provide college-readiness services across six districts (Seattle, Shoreline, Lynwood, Renton, Federal Way, and Highline).● Created and implemented a yearly four-week STEM summer program curriculum and secured funding

Worked in collaboration with a Student Advisory Board, and in consultation with Director of the Women's Center.● Participated as a collaborative team member with Women's Center Making Connections Planning Committee.● Developed and implemented summer academic enrichment courses and hands-on STEM workshops.
