I got my start as a Junior Freelance Graphic Designer at Deluxe Distribution SF and High Speed Productions, working under the strict and thorough supervision of Jeff Klimt 1995-98. Along with Klimt, Jason Lee, Chris Pastras and Ari Macropolis helped develop that "bookish retro futra post Beats cosmopolitan splendor of downtown Sf and Northbeach " aesthetic concept, for a series of Stereo Ads which ran in Thrasher around that time. Crumbled Teeth Spitfire Logo wheel and accompanying cotton T for Tim Upson 1998. Contributing videography for production's: "A Visual Sound" (1995), "Thrasher Video: Donut Duty" (1998) and "Ride On" (1997). I left DLX around 1999 to focus on my Art History studies at SF State.

Co- Art DirectorInstrumental Skateboards Sep 2002 - Aug 2004HoustonDesigned a series of decks for Instrumental Skateboards, the brainchild of Eric Visentin. If you don't remember (which you probably don't) Instrumental was the first boardsponsor for a few of today's young current & established Pro's and Am's- invariably making it the City Star's of Houston. Darrell was P-rod, Ramondetta was probably Mikey Taylor, Ramzi Mantoura was most deffinately Justin Case, Ernie Torres was Spanky, Ben Ellis was Pupeki, Aron Cooley was Fabes, Eric was Reemo and by default that automatically made me the Joey Suriel of the team . Basically Deluxe came to Houston one year for Make A Wish around 2002 and took Darrell, Ernie and Peter - leaving a massive gap in the team after we had just released the Mind Boggling Instrumental video. With hot seats empty, Eric scrambled to fill them by putting Eric Ostos on as AM and trying to PRO WIL TAYLOR. Well, Wil Taylor didn't exactly get turned pro, though he got dangerously close and even had a prototype deck of a glamor shot session of him in cowboy gear (no exagerration!) ready to hit the laminating press- until pretty much the rest of the team threatened to resign if Wil was put on (mind you, this was after everyone had slaved full time video parts for the Inst. vid and Wil Taylor just ONLY had some mini ramp clips and some sad Ez-7 current clips to try to go pro on ). Shortly after the Wil Taylor fiasco, the company splintered right after Eric sent the 90 decks we were supposed to flip to Brain Moore (the Jordan Richter/Pablo Diaz/ShortiesSteveOlsonof the team) to "Expand the Arizona Market". Well, we never saw the decks until three years later (when Instrumental was already well done) until Brian randomly comes back to Texas and finally Brian gave Eric back the unskated decks still in their cellophane that he had had the whole time!
