Duties:• Assessing and validating both Personal lines and Commercial claims• Determining if the correct risk was underwritten at inception• Drafting and presenting of reports detailing the outcome of investigations• Responding to clients complaints and representations to rejections • Delivering service and support to clients and brokers within strict turnaround times• Training of new investigators on policies and procedures• Closely managing client expectations with regards to insurance products and delivery of service• Assisting with the OSTI complaints and resolving queries on rejected claims• As a senior commercial investigator I am required to deal with high quantum investigations as well as all public liability claims which include defective workmanship and defective product claims which require legal knowledgeWorking with a number of commercial clients, I have gained knowledge of their industries, and have been exposed to various systems which allowed me to build my knowledge in assessing their stock records, investigating high value claims and understanding the purchasing and selling patterns of their items claimed.My experience and work ethic allows me to quickly build trust with my customers, who also appreciate my ability to empathise with them, as well as the ability to quickly assess and understand their needs. Utilising these skills, I have been trusted to initiate and lead high value insurance investigations.

Duties:• Evaluating new business risks and determining the acceptance• Advising clients on security and risk improvements to reduce the level of risk exposure identified during surveys.• Setting special conditions for the acceptance of the risk.• Accepting or declining of risks once the survey is complete• Training of new team members and development of existing team members.• Acting manager for the commercial risk consultants during the managements absence• Assisting customers with general safety awarenessAs a Commercial Risk Consultant I was required to be client service orientated, pay extreme attention to detail and ensure deadlines were met whilst obtaining optimum results. I was able to assess exposure related to safety and security, fire and theft that affected the insurer and impact on his insurable risk. Recommendations relating to risk improvements were made in order to reduce the level of risk exposure identified.
