As an employment and labor attorney with Fisher & Phillips LLP, I have had the opportunity to be involved in complex employment litigation in addition to regularly responding to agencies such as the EEOC, various state agencies, and OSHA as well as the labor commissioner. I have successfully negotiated numerous settlements through both formal and informal mediation. As a senior member of the leadership team at Green Valley Grocery, I established a professional human resources team. Our focus was TALENT. We had good success onboarding customer driven team members at all levels. Communication through our leaders was a key priority. Through effective and strategic communication we drove teamwork between the operational and corporate teams. I was able to bring to life a Corporate Talent Acquisition team in alignment with the overall strategy of MGM Resorts International. Due to my strength in technology recruiting, I was able to develop this core competency within the Corporate TA team, I was also successful in driving efficiency in attracting and on-boarding talent in high-volume positions across Las Vegas. The processes I introduced significantly reduced our time to fill positions resulting in both lower payroll costs and better guest service. I leveraged vendors, such as Glassdoor, and partnered with key centers of excellence to improve the candidate experienceI was also able to partner with key senior leaders on organizational redesign, including structure, in sourcing and outsourcing initiatives, recruitment of key positions, training assessments and learning & development strategies. I was a trusted partner leading strategic planning processes with accountability metrics and business SLAs.

In this role, I partnered with key technical leaders in Data Analytics and Information Technology to redesign their organizations ensuring strategic business alignment and innovation. I specifically:• Led recruitment of 200+ technical and leadership positions and drove in sourcing of an information technology operations shared services function; • Developed and implemented college recruiting, management associate and internship programs for technical departments;• Coordinated and led Strategic Planning process, including business KPIs and SLAs;• Drove employee engagement action plans resulting in most improved Corporate Department Employee Opinion Survey scores year over year.

I was very successful as an independent consultant for 5 years. Through my Company, CamCris LLC, I was able to provide a wide range of professional human resources services including organizational development and strategy, executive coaching, performance management and reviews, succession planning, training and development, recruitment and retention, incentives and compensation, employee and labor relations, independent investigation of employee complaints, compliance, building ground up human resources and labor relations functions, arbitration and mediation. I was selected and served as a mediator for the small claims court of the Clark County Regional Justice Center. One of the most exciting projects of my consulting career was opening the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in 2010. This was my third property opening. Not only was I critical to the recruitment and on-boarding of 4,000+ team members, but I also led the preopening "play day" process for all departments.Ultimately, after 2 + years of consulting for MGM Resorts, I was hired as a full time team member in 2013. This role was a great fit for me as it allowed me not only to develop a strategic vision for human resources and labor relations in alignment with the Company direction, but also to drive execution on the initiatives that brought this to life. In this leadership position, I led a corporate human resources and labor relations function supporting 20,000 employees with 100+labor contracts in more than 40 operating locations in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. I was a direct report to the CEO and had responsibility for a full operating budget.

This was an AMAZING opportunity! I was selected as the lead Human Resources executive to start-up and open the themed 3000 room hotel/casino,PARIS LAS VEGAS. Working directly with the architect and construction team, I led the project management team to design and construct a themed Employment Center and adjacent Room Reservation Department with a budget of $2.3MM. With a staff of 60 team members reporting to me, I drove the recruitment, on-boarding, orientation and training of 4,000+ employees. Post opening, I was the leader for the on-going human resources and labor relations functions at both Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas which collectively employed 8,000+ team members.
