Built and led a series of full-stack (Android, Java) teams to display & optimize ads on the Google Play Store. This includes:- developing UI for Android devices: all form factors, including phones & tablets;- running end-user experiments to analyze user reactions, and optimizing formats accordingly;- launching features to 3B users, ramping up, & stabilizing results to determine long term impact.

- Responsible for product engineering at The Athletic, reporting to the CTO.- Grew engineering team from 8 to ~42 in a year; opened Melbourne, Australia engineering office (7 members) in Dec 2020, opened UK engineering office (2 members) in Jan 2021.- Launched New Subscriber Experience, which revamped the app & website completely across iOS/Android/BE/FE in ~4 months.- The Athletic was acquired by the New York Times in early 2022.

- Led a 10-person full-stack (frontend, backend, mobile) engineering team in the Customer Obsession organization, focusing on Help Content & Discovery, including help.uber.com. Founded team, grew it to 10 engineers, and set its roadmap and vision.- Opened Uber’s Toronto office by hiring and closing ~22 candidates in a week as part of a team of six.- Top 1% Bar Raiser during my 5 years at Uber: interviewed ~400 individuals, hiring 80+.- Volunteered for Uber’s LadyEng board as an ally, worked with the People team to promote blind resume reviews.

- Founding engineer of the Hiring Growth team, responsible for architecting, building and supporting a number of key hiring growth initiatives—including building Uber's hiring portal, interview scheduler, and interviewing toolkit—growing Uber from 1,500 to 30,000 FTEs.- Built team from 2 to 10 engineers, becoming its Engineering Manager in Jan 2016.

- Lead software engineer for Landor Associates’ global internal applications suite (intranet, extranet, CRM package, HRIS package).- Dealt with senior stakeholders (CFO, HRD, CEO) regularly; responsible for special projects—including Digital Branding explorations.

- Ran infrastructure change projects at a number of large organizations, including BP, The Wellcome Trust, and the UK Ministry of Defence.
