Mr. Senthil Sankar is an accomplished Entrepreneur, Industrialist and Investor with over 16 years of experience. Born and raised in Chennai, he completed his schooling at Bala Vidya Mandir, Adyar, and pursued Mechanical Engineering at VIT University, Vellore, graduating with first-class distinction. He represented India at the World Automotive Congress, Japan for presenting his research on “Wiperless Windshields.”Mr. Senthil Sankar began his corporate career with the TATA Group, where he earned the prestigious Tata Business Leadership Award. His career at TCS saw rapid advancements, promotion to BDA, and an opportunity to work in Canada, which he declined to stay true to his values and patriotism towards India. In 2011, he came to Karur.He completed executive education and the Young Entrepreneurs Program at IIM Ahmedabad. His father, Mr. K Sankar, founded Shree Renga Polymers (SRP) in Karur in 2008. Joining his father in the early stages(2011), Mr. Senthil Sankar played a key role in driving the company’s growth.SRP evolved from manufacturing hot washed flakes to producing high-quality recycled dope dyed polyester fibers, yarns, and fabrics. This vertical integration allowed the company to offer a comprehensive range of products, establishing itself as a leader in sustainable textile solutions across the value chain.An active angel investor and limited partner in VC funds, Mr. Senthil Sankar has supported numerous startups, with a diverse portfolio of 30 companies across sectors such as healthcare, fin-tech, agri, food, drones, sustainability, fashion, and platform businesses.In 2020, SRP launched Ecoline Clothing, a brand focused on sustainable fashion using yarns spun from recycled polyester fibres and sustainable cotton. Ecoline gained widespread recognition when the Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wore their jacket in Parliament. Mr. Senthil Sankar has a vision to establish Ecoline Clothing as a global sustainable fashion brand.In addition to Ecoline, he runs a biogas venture distributing carbon-neutral gas to industry and hospitality sectors and an Ayurvedic pharmaceutical company serving domestic markets. He is an Investor Director in DAYWON, a B2B sourcing platform for fashion and home textiles, and a partner in Soozhal Cinemas, India's first story house.He served as Chairman of CII Karur for the year 2023-24 and is an elected council member for CII Southern Region for the year 2024-25.Mr. Senthil Sankar’s businesses and social activities align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
