The objective of the research is to interpret the axial interaction behaviour of the offshore pipelines proposed to be laid on the seabeds of North Western Shelf, Australia. The research is funded by the CSIRO Flagship Collaboration Cluster on Subsea Pipelines. Research work and technical exposure● 2D and 3D nonlinear numerical analysis- Developed nonlinear numerical models to investigate the embedment development and thermal behaviour of pipeline. Both undrained and coupled FEM analyses were studied using Modified Cam-Clay material constitutive model.● Physical modelling- Developed and tested a large scale physical modelling setup known as Monash Advance Pipe Testing System (MAPS) for offshore pipe testings. Characterised the drained and undrained soil limit states for pipe load displacement behaviour.Research focus- Physical modelling, Numerical modelling using FEM and Soil/Structure interaction
