Projects Lead & Working Council Member
I represent the private sector and health systems strengthening component in the network that mostly has digital health professionals from across Asia. We support Ministries of Health/Digital Health Agencies in regional countries to strengthen digital health and health information systems. I coordinated with 15 regional countries to identify critical gaps in digital health governance, architecture/blueprint, people and program management, and standards and interoperability and drafted a "Call to Action" for the Ministries of Health to strengthen Digital Health in the respective countries. AeHIN launched the call to action in Jakarta in the AeHIN GM 2023. I collaborated to build AeHIN's consulting practice to make the network self-sustainable and was instrumental in winning the first project we applied for. I am also leading this project funded by the Global Fund to strengthen digital health and health information systems in Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Regional Head - Public Health (Middle East)
I led the public health consulting practice in the Middle East Region, expanding and executing projects in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, Iraq, and Somalia. During my tenure, we won multiple projects of national and international significance, the team strength grew by nearly 300%, and we established ourselves as a strong player in the healthcare consulting space in the region. Some of the flagship projects won and executed under my leadership include the WHO’s GHFD initiative, the development of a Public Health Data Strategy for the Saudi Public Health Authority, the USAID-funded OSRA initiative in Egypt, Gap analysis for strengthening communicable disease surveillance in Jordan, the development of a business and operational model for a super-specialty hospital in Jordan, and PPP model for a hospital in Ethiopia.
Engagement Lead - Public Health
As part of the MEA team, I led some of the flagship projects executed by the company in the Africa and Middle East regions. I was also involved in business development activities, building partnerships, responding to RFPs, and managing large deals (>USD 1 million) for proactive BD. We developed strong partnerships with many organizations, including WHO, the Global Fund, UNICEF, UNDP, USAID, FIND, Pathfinder, and MMV. I was instrumental in improving the practice through quick resource mobilization, timely execution, implementation of radical and innovative approaches, and delivery of large-scale projects to client satisfaction. Some of the projects led by me include the WHO’s GHFD Initiative in 29 countries across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Eastern Mediterranean Regions, the iPTI modeling project for MMV in 9 African countries, the Global Fund supply-chain spot-checks in 13 African countries, and ISP assessment project for UNDP in Zimbabwe.
Entrepreneur
