Ever since I was a little kid, Engineering has been my passion. This passion carried me through my education at Moratuwa University, Sri Lanka. I have chosen Mining Engineering for my undergraduate degree. I studied Geology, Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Surveying, Remote Sensing, Digital Image Processing and Photography, Mathematics, Environmental Engineering Concepts, all with pretty much the same fascination that drove me as a kid. And it was here that I learned truly how much there was yet to learn. I started my career as a teaching assistant at Department of Civil Engineering, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka and I enjoyed to sharing my knowledge with students and Colleagues. Then I joined as an Irrigation engineer at Ministry of Agriculture & Agrarian Services, Irrigation, Fisheries, Water Supply and Environment and it is helped me to build my skills on time management, problem solving, detail-oriented, planning and organization skills. Then, since I was eager study furthermore, I started my master of engineering in environmental systems engineering at University of Regina. I gained high-level knowledge of Environmental Systems Engineering concepts through coursework, lab sessions, and projects. Excelled in coursework through modules including, Engineering Systems Analysis, Biological Processes for Wastewater Treatment, Air Quality Management, Hazardous Waste Management and Site Remediation, and Engineering Practices and Experience.
