I am a B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) graduate of University of Moratuwa. My study stream was Mining and Minerals. I completed my internship at Holcim (Lanka) Ltd. which is the leading cement manufacturing company in Sri Lanka in 2011 as a Trainee Mining Engineer. At Holcim I gained experiences in Quarrying including the planning the quarry advancement, environmental rehabilitation planning, maintenance of heavy machinery etc.After graduation I joined Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau Laboratory Services, which is renown for the construction material testing and consulting for the foundation designs, as an Engineer. At CECBLS, I gained experiences on Coordination of testing and analyses and reporting of soil, aggregate, cement and concrete.After that I joined my current employer, Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation as the Engineer of Engineering Materials Testing Laboratory in 2014. As the head of the laboratory, I am responsible for the coordination of the testings and analyses for the jobs offered to the laboratory both internally and externally. We perform tests for soil, aggregates and concrete and also performs borehole investigations by using wash boring, percussion drilling or hand auguring techniques.I am more interested in Geotechnical Engineering and followed a Master of Engineering in Foundation Engineering and Earth Retaining Systems and graduated in May, 2021.
