Ensure the company has a living HSSE management system and complies with both Group and Statutory safety/Technical standards and legislation. drive the development of the HSSEQ culture within the organization to achieve Goal Zero and ensures that processes and procedures are complied to.Manage, coordinate, develop and implement sound HSEQ programmes, policies, guidelines and standards and ensure that these requirements comply with statutory and non-statutory requirements.Review and drive HSEQ strategy and ensure that the strategies are deployed to achieve Goal Zero.Apply appropriate risk management methodologies to identify operational risks and define robust critical control strategies. Plan, Implement and coordinate the implementation of high-quality Incident Investigations and sharing of Learnings from Incidents Investigate best practice and coordinate initiatives towards supporting the development of a Goal Zero culture across Easigas group.Coach operations team and top management through engaging, empowering and recognizing positive safety leadership practices.

Duties and Responsibilities.• Implement and drive continuous improvement processes to meet safety, health and environment objectives• Responsible for all safety, health and environment related matters and initiatives i.e GAP Audits, monthly safety meetings, minutes and reports all safety projects, HIRA’s, Incident investigation, near miss reports are effectively compiled, presented, allocated and completed to pre-set targets, parameters and standards• Responsible for all safety administration and ensure accurate feedback to the relevant managers within set time parameters on daily, weekly, monthly basis in accordance with the safety compliance required• Monitor and track closure of resultant corrective actions where local environment obligation are concerned.• Administer all suppliers, visitors and employees inductions are conducted and signed off according to the set company induction program and records are filed.• Lead, monitor and track progress of CCAR/Risk reports submitted and submit feedback for safety meeting.• Record and maintain records of all HIRA’S on the designated register and update Contracts Managers.• Provide minutes for all management and safety committee meetings and management review meetings• Review and monitor corrective actions that are recorded, HIRA, DEKRA, Surveys, OHS Plan, investigation RCA, etc and monitored for close off, discussed with contract managers/supervisors, safety committee members.• Ensure compliance with local and regional and national government regulation and Acts, group procedure and policies.• Lead and facilitate on all incidents investigations and risk analyses to completion.• Ensure regular review of all SOP’s, are communicated to all employees on the floor and ensure that they are still applicable for purpose.• Auditing of Contractors and facilities on a regular basis to ensure compliance to customer requirements and SHEQ system requirement (internal audits)

Incidents/AccidentsLeading investigations and outcomes related actions (spillages, contaminations, accidents) & ensure it is recorded as such on iHSE in the required format within the required timeframe. Record all the above on iHSE in the required format within the required timeframe & follow up on Line Managers/Supervisors to ensure actions are closed timeously. Ensure that Lessons Learnt from incidents are disseminated across the network HEMP and RAP Conduct risk assessments on a regular basis. Review site’s HEMP and RAP document to ensure accuracy, relevancy and completeness thereof. Report and provide feedback on deviations and findings detected. Identify improvements areas and recommend solutions to either contractors or Engen. Escalations to Management as applicable HSEQ Inspections (Engen Depot / Transport /Workshop / Offices & Engineering Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in conjunction with Contractors for all significant activities as determined by RAP.Emergency Action / Contingency Plans (ERP) Review the Engen & Transport Contractor Emergency Response Plan, Co-ordination of Emergency exercises according to agreed frequency & scope, Review the Legal Appointments and Training Records to ensure accuracy, relevancy and completeness thereof (Safety Reps, First Aiders, Firefighters & PTW) ,Appointment letters on file.Customer and Stakeholder Management Ensure Departmental alignment with customer and stakeholder policy and procedure, Support Customer Incident investigations , Ensuring Contractor SLA's in place and adhered to , Manage relations with service provider, Participate in contractor pre-qualification HSEQ Management & Compliance Mandatory & Company audits, Participation and support of audits, Audit findings closed as agreed with business , Meets objectives of HSEMS and MCF, Initial environmental & Ensure adherence to Safe work practices ,Communicate HSEQ procedures, Compliance to HSEQ policies
