My journey began in youth development, where I learned the importance of effective communication, emotional intelligence, and the impact of leadership on young minds. These early experiences laid the foundation for my collaborative leadership style and my belief in the power of a growth mindset.After returning from the UK, where I worked as a programme facilitator and in sales at Lee Abbey and the Carphone Warehouse in the mid-2000s respectively, I dove into strategy and management consulting at Step Advisory. This role sharpened my skills in strategic planning, problem solving, and marketing strategy, preparing me for my later roles at Tarsus Technology Group. Here, I transitioned from strategy programme manager to head of employee experience, focusing on well-being and strategic integration within the company, especially during the COVID-19 global health crisis.My approach to leadership is influenced by my background in working with youth and is centred on the idea that leadership varies across cultures and contexts. I thrive on making connections in a rapidly changing world and am inspired by thinkers like Adam Grant, who advocate for embracing diverse perspectives for progress.Outside of my professional life, I'm passionate about building things with my hands, writing, and engaging in select projects to give back to disadvantaged communities.
