On-site with Intraedge. I write help and education content for people who want to advertise with Facebook. My key areas of support are products that let people advertise directly from their Facebook page, primarily small to medium businesses. I work cross-functionally with designers, engineers and customer support to identify important moments for in-product education.

I wrote thought provoking content to inspire discussion for books with a focus on social issues and inclusivity. Content includes author bios, summaries, discussion questions and after-reading resources.

I worked on designing a user research driven experience to create an inspiring, community-driven travel platform for adventurers. My responsibilities included establishing voice and tone guidelines for the platform and its social media presence, working closely with the marketing team.

I led the research and strategy for the mobile-first design for this early stage start-up. Over 5 weeks, I worked with a team of 5 designers to conduct informational interviews, desirability testing, and usability testing to identify user value drivers, behavioral archetypes, and MVP recommendations. As well as formulating the research plan, and designing tests, I worked closely with my team-mates to produce research stimuli by providing strategic objectives for concepts, wireframes and prototypes.

Over seven weeks, I worked on a team of strategists and designers to produce a consumer facing solution for a global healthcare company. I collaborated on discussion guides for stakeholder interviews, focus groups and in-depth interviews. I was responsible for analyzing the qualitative data to produce insights reports and worked closely with designers, providing strategic input for wire framing, concepting, and prototyping. I also produced a current trends report on conversational UI for a client in the travel, leisure, and hospitality industry.

As Development Editor at Macmillan Education, I developed digital and print content for students and teachers in Latin America and the Middle East. As the lead development editor on the Global Stage Student App, I took the Student App from early concept until the go-to-market date over two years. I designed the learning experience for 2,000 digital activities, defined UX styles for a global team of freelancers and vendors, and generally made sure that all the moving parts came together to make a coherent whole. I also conducted contextual inquiries and in-depth interviews with teachers and admin in Mexico as part of exploratory research for a Science course.

As Product Owner I was responsible for a scrappy but feisty team of 5 designers and developers, as well as managing a larger team of content developers. In this two-part role, I oversaw content development, the publishing calendar, and teacher training for existing programs while also developing the roadmap for digital products including an LMS, a CMS, and apps for students. My favorite project in this role was Story Lab, a Media Library program that combined a physical space with an immersive gamified iPad app designed to encourage intrinsic motivations for reading.

As curriculum co-ordinator, I wanted to create inspiring curriculum and empower teachers to focus on what they do best, creating impactful learning experiences. I streamlined processes by implementing a new classroom materials database, consolidated multiple communication systems, and moved all materials to the cloud. I also championed early adoption of. collaborative tools like Google Suite, Dropbox and Asana to begin exploring a Chase Edu LMS.

At Reed Academy, I designed reading and writing programs for bespoke classes, including curriculum development and teacher training workshops. While here, I also co-created two animated YouTube short series for early learners, The Alphabet Show and Read with Me. ​

Chase Edu is a private education company with a mission to change the test-centric education landscape in South Korea. As their first elementary grade teacher hire, I created booklists, discussion materials, and admissions processes. I also taught reading and writing classes.

Creating teacher's materials for this private education behemoth in South Korea is the first time I really thought about voice and tone in technical writing and documentation. I also taught TOEFL classes to G3-9.

My first opportunity to help craft brand messaging was as the Press Office Co-ordinator for Pier 1. Apart from writing odes to cushions and candles, I co-ordinated with journalists, editors, as well as events like the London Film Festival and the British Fashion Council to get Pier products press attention. I also designed. and implemented a new press loans tracking system by integrating retail back-up systems with Excel.
