conducted ethnographic user research and market research for new service product development. + New App Service Development for Myanmar farmers, Proximity Designs, project leader (2014.01~2014.05) : traveled to 12 rural villages in Delta & Dryzone (Delta, Shwebo, Mandalay, Naipidaw) and interviewed 56 people.+ New Product Concept and Service Development of “Solar Home System” for Myanmar rural users, Proximity Designs, project leader (2014.06~10) : traveled to 18 rural villages (Delta, Bago, Magway, Pakokku) for in-depth interviews, gang survey and user testing of the concepts.

As a dean of the School of Design and Human Engineering(DHE) at UNIST, she set up this new trans-disciplinary design-engineering education program collaborating with industrial design, human factors engineering and engineering design. Her deep interest on multi-disciplinary design education and creativity led her to open one of the first “design thinking” class in Korea for all DHE students where they learn creative thinking method, visual thinking and human centered design with team-based projects. These experience for convergence design education made her participate STEAM projects developing “design based STEAM program for K-12” curriculums funded by Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity (KOFAC). She had worked as a principal designer at Samsung Electronics where she was responsible for a strategic design team of home appliance design group and led multi-disciplinary innovative product development projects. Her research area covers user experience research for new product concept development, strategic design development, emotional segmentation, visual identity & design language studies and sustainable design.
