My background in community organizing around immigrant rights and ending the school to prison pipeline as well as my experience as an educator and restorative justice coordinator pushed me to pursue a master's degree in social work at UC Berkeley where I focused on community mental health in the Latinx community. I served as the clinic coordinator at SIME's Mental Health Clinic through the University of San Francisco Quito and as a mental health therapist in Ecuador. As an LCSW and private practice therapist I aim to continually practice cultural humility and engage in community informed practices, support integrated behavioral healthcare, and center my practice in social justice. In my current role as a Behavioral Health Provider at Clinica Family Health, I work in multidisciplinary team providing high-quality wrap-around support and brief intervention to vulnerable community members.
