Sarah is a scholar and community worker, with over 10 years of experience in research, program development, volunteer coordination, and advocacy work. As a researcher and writer, Sarah is keen on topics related to media, print and visual cultures, and queer-feminist activisms and histories. She is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Gender and Social Justice department at Trent University, and has previously been listed in both the Cultural Studies and English Literature departments. She has spoken at a number of international conferences, and is a current co-organizer of the DIY Methods conference, a zine-based, remote-participation conference on experimental research and research exchange.Outside of the academy, Sarah is a seasoned community worker with years of experience working in both community and post-secondary settings. She has enjoyed bringing her knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EEDI), accessibility, and human rights frameworks to a variety of roles—from volunteer coordination to policy work.
