The courses I teach include digital design methods, digital representation and communication, parametric design and design studios at Faculty of Architecture, Mardin Artuklu University in Turkey. Artuklu is located in Mardin, which is an ancient town with significant heritage value. The school has a historical building located in the historical town in Mardin. Here, my research focuses on parametric and algorithmic design, digital heritage, BIM, virtual and augmented environments, and smart cities.

I was a design researcher at DARA and a PhD Candidate at the School of Architecture, Victoria University of Wellington. My design-research thesis focused on translating Kashgar heritage, westernmost city in China, into game platforms where engaging experiences were designed and developed with regards to digital realities. During this time, I tutored several courses and gave lectures on digital design methods and digital representation and documentation. I taught digital design tools, including mainly Grasshopper, Rhino, Unity, Processing and Maya. My students' profile ranged from the first years to the fifth, with the majority in their Master's degree.

At The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), I worked for DARA (Digital Architecture Research Alliance) that focuses on a wide range of areas; digital architecture and design, gamification, design research, digital heritage and Building Information Modelling (BIM). Within two years of academic experience, architectural practice was not excluded but correlated to our research curriculum with success together with Prof Marc Aurel Schnabel.Publications include double-peer reviewed papers at international conferences and congresses such as CAADRIA 2014 in Kyoto, ASA 2014 in Hong Kong, DesignED Asia 2014 in Hong Kong, eCAADe 2014 in Newcastle (UK), VSMM 2014 in Hong Kong, CAADRIA 2015 in Dauge, ASA 2015 in Genoa and Digital Heritage 2015 in Granada. In these venues, I presented my design-research and applications developed at DARA.As for teaching, digital design software were taught at School of Architecture, CUHK. I tutored for BIM-oriented courses where advanced workflows were introduced. These software include Revit, Archicad and Rhino with Grasshopper for 2nd and 3rd year undergrad students, and coding with Processing for MArch I and II students. Plus, I hosted internal BIM workshops to improve students' understanding of new workflows in architectural design practice. Together with other colleagues at School of Architecture, I exhausted my effort on advancing technical skills of students on a variety of applications that they can further improve and find relevant opportunities in their future carrier.In Hong Kong, I was involved in the organisation committee of two international conferences, ASA 2014 and Smartgeometry 2014 held at School of Architecture, CUHK. At each event, we hosted nearly 100 practicioners and academicians with keynotes, paper presentations, workshops, proceeding publications, conference materials and conference activities that required careful organisation and heavy workload.
