A friend of mine was organizing a small outsourcing team. It consisted of about 11 developers and 1 UI/UX designer. They needed managers, and my friend offered my brother and me the opportunity to try ourselves in that position. We received tasks from clients, discussed them, found solutions, wrote technical specifications, and handed them over to developers. We monitored the task execution process and then tested them. In other words, my brother and I combined several jobs at once: "Project Manager," "Manual QA," and "Account Manager." Occasionally, we also worked as "Sales Managers," as we had to find tasks on freelance marketplaces like "Upwork."My responsibilities included:- discussing tasks with the client;- finding a solution, and sometimes several alternative solutions;- writing technical specifications;- monitoring the task execution process;- manually testing tasks;- resolving conflict situations.That's how my journey in IT started.
